George Washington Porcelain




















A rare oil on porcelain portrait miniature of George Washington was painted by renowned French artist Sophie Lienard, active in Paris 1842-1845 (died 1845). Works of Sophie Lienard are difficult to acquire and her most import pieces achieve high prices at art auctions. Kilian Bros Painted Table



This one-of-a-kind center table was most likely displayed at the Philadelphia Exposition in 1876, where the American Indian was featured in various displays. Kilian Brothers is known to have exhibited their furniture which included Centennial tables featuring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. It features painted animals including an Indian on horseback painted in the manner of George Catlin.
